Trapped in a Box

I am locked in a box,
I want to get out,
But I don’t have the key,
Someone please find it for me.

The box is filled with darkness,
I feel nothing but emptiness.
I feel disconnected from my life,
Someone please cut it open with a knife.

If I could get out of here,
I’d go everywhere prancing like a deer,
I’d drink from a cool river,
Jump in and watch the water glimmer.

If I could get out of here,
I’d fly like a bird in fifth gear.
I’d take the highest flights,
And dance in the heavenly lights.

If I could get out of here,
I’d drive away my irrational fears.
Dance the crazy freak out,
Just want to stretch, want to get out.

But I’m trapped in this box,
And I cant seem to get out.
Maybe I’ve lost the key,
Cannot rely on anyone for finding it for me.
